19th March 2018

I’m going to be performing at two charity gigs in July this year, one in Sunderland and one in London.  It's been a long while since I last gigged, but I'm really looking forward to it. The Sunderland date is now confirmed as Sunday July 8th, and is at The Avenue Pub, 26 Zetland Street, Roker, Sunderland SR6 0EQ. Gig will start at 8pm (doors 7.30pm), and finish around 10pm.  Tickets are £10 each.  Please email for tickets / enquiries (the pub are not handling ticket sales). Over 10s only.

Just waiting on confirming a London venue, as soon as that is done I'll update here.

Both gigs are to raise money for a charity who are very close to my heart, and helped prop me up and get me through some very difficult times I experienced in 2011 and 2012.  Arc are a very small charity, and I always promised myself I would raise some money for them, to say thank you and show my support.  All money raised from ticket sales will go straight to Arc.

Hope you can come!

New Song - Caden's Lullaby - available to download.

Today I have also launched a new song of mine, Caden’s Lullaby, and this is the second part of my fundraising effort for Arc.  It is available for download on, and the link you need is  . Each download costs £1, although you can also donate more, and all proceeds (apart from a small amount of fees to Paypal and Bandcamp) will go straight to Arc.  Hope you like the song.

Hi! I've been to have some photos taken, I was really nervous, but actually I had a lot of fun, aided and abetted in Embleton, Northumberland by photographer Andy Craig , my friend Catherine and a toucan puppet!

Well, I've been writing/arranging songs, and I'm now up to eight songs for my new album that I'm intending to record over the summer and put out towards the end of 2018.  I'm back co-writing with Anne Hills, which I'm really enjoying.

I decided I needed to become more organised, so I have someone working with me and helping with the admin side of things.  Cheryl has been updating my old mailing list, and is going to help me keep this page up to date, and to set up a Facebook page too.

I'm also in the process of setting up two charity gigs, one in Sunderland and one in London. This is something I have been meaning to do since 2011, when I received a lot of support during a particularly bad time, from a small UK charity called Arc . I would like to try and raise some money for them, no matter how small, to say thank you.  It looks like these gigs will be in the first two weeks of July 2018, and I'll also be putting out a (new) song on Bandcamp, the proceeds of which will go straight to Arc.  More information here, and how to buy tickets, when the venues and date are confirmed.

Hi, Bill here, doing an update that I should have done a long time ago!

In May 2016, I went to Tokyo, Japan.  I played one solo gig, and another one as support to amazing band Flook, both gigs were in Tokyo. Thanks to Yoko at The Music Plant for hosting me and looking after me so well.  I also had a great time out and about in Tokyo with Flook and Yoko, and have some great memories (including an evening of karaoke of course!).

On stage with Flook for their encore, at The Music Exchange, Shibuya, on 15/5/2016.

In March 2016 I went back into Brian Bedford's studio in Birdsedge and recorded four songs. These are intended to form part of a new album, that I'm aiming to put out towards the end of I'm currently gearing up to write more songs for this project, both solo and with Anne Hills.
